Watercolor art celebrating your animal bestie
About Robin
A lifelong dog and horse lover, Robin grew up surrounding herself with four-legged creatures as much as possible. Although she majored in studio art in college, her career path took the corporate route into fashion, e-commerce, data, and digital marketing.
After a bad horseback riding accident in 2020, Robin returned to art, using watercolor as part of her rehabilitation. During this time, she began painting her animals, as well as the dogs and horses of her friends. Robin continued pursuing her art as a means of recovery and eventually as her new profession, launching “Pawtraits, by Robin Baskin” in April 2024.
Robin lives with her husband Eli in the suburbs of Pennsylvania with their two dogs, Ted and Reggie.
While creating in her studio, she is often kept company by Ted, a well-mixed chap who is officially 16 different breeds, primarily an Australian Cattle Dog. In March 2025, they welcomed Reggie, a larger-than-life Red Fox Lab, who loves everyone he meets.

Ted (Aussie Cattle Mix), Buddy Love (Off the Track Thoroughbred), Reggie (Red Fox Lab), Crixus & Luc (Yellow Lab and Lab mix), Jersey (Quarter Horse) and Chance (Black Lab)
Many of the dogs that Robin and Eli have owned have been adopted. Robin loves to help rescue organizations with their fundraising efforts by donating her pet portrait services for silent auctions.
